Hot Tub Relaxation! Dreamy Cabin Near Beavers Bend

It was a nice and quiet place for me and my daughter to stay, we felt safe and the people who rent it out was very nice and communicated really well.

We had a great time during our stay! Our cabin was cozy clean and easy to get in and out of!

Honestly I hate giving bad reviews, but as a person who went off the reviews for this place it did not live up to its ratings. Upon checking in the door was already pushed open & I had to search the home for people. I still pushed through that as I can’t imagine how busy the host probably is. However the issues continued. The hot tub smelled like fish, while when I did contact them they did handle with urgency it was just too much chemicals and a lack of water for the jets at that point. The home itself had a couple bugs and cobwebs as if no one has been by in a while. The whole town is under construction so during prime times it took us 30 minutes to travel from one point of the street to the other(out of the hosts control) but irritating none the less. We left a whole day early just because it was not the relaxing weekend we had paid and planned for it to be. Overall the house is beautiful just needs more TLC (for example the bed) , and safety needs to be more of a concern to them.

The place itself was great, however you have a backyard neighbor. Super easy to find as well. Our only complaint really was that the towels smelt bad and the hot tub water. Towels smelt like mildew and hot tub smelt weird. Also, the grill was pretty dirty but a wire brush helped. Owner and manager are nice and communicate. Overall, it was good those were our nitpicks.

Me and my boyfriend took our second trip to Hochatown a couple weeks ago and decided to rent a different cabin. We decided on the Woodpecker lodge, and quickly realized we made the best choice! Our cabin had a wonderful smell of fresh wood as soon as we walked in and it was very spacious. It was very clean and comfortable, we had a little trouble getting the hot tub to work the first night, but we were able to figure it out as it just took awhile to heat up (I think maybe it’s just an older model.) The only thing I wish was slightly different was the privacy of the hot tub area as it’s facing the front door of the neighboring cabin, but nonetheless I loved our backyard space with the fire pit and baggo! We even found a little fawn just behind the cabin, and ironically saw a woodpecker as we were leaving. That being said the wildlife in this area is wonderful. The host and property manager were extremely helpful and kind to us before and after our stay, I absolutely recommend!
