I feel for what we paid, we got ripped off. The photos of the rental are very deceiving. The entire home looks very beautiful and inviting in the photos, however upon check in we noticed several minor issues that added up. The first issue being there was no lock on the bathroom door. The only “private” space had no real privacy without a lock. The second issue is we couldn’t get the microwave door to open. Despite my husband using a microwave like this at his job, the latch mechanism seemed to be unattached. There was a musty/mildewy smell that we had to air out and use plug ins for our entire stay. Every floor in the home was uneven, with unexpected slopes and hills. We were not able to utilize the upstairs area due to the steep and very uneven stairs. The bathroom also had no vapor barrier and no good ventilation. After showers every surface had to be wiped down with a towel. There was an issue with the bed in the master bedroom that we didn’t get figured out until our last night.

We stayed here for an extended weekend knowing it would be a smaller place, and it was fine for what it was. A place to sleep. The bottom bunk bed (the second largest mattress in the place) was quite hard, with a clear harder side which made sharing the bed unpleasant. The only bathroom is through the master bedroom which was inconvenient at times. Finally there were a lot of ants, we didn’t feel comfortable leaving snacks on the counter or in the cabinets. But other than that, it was quiet and the neighborhood felt safe. Not bad for what it was if not a little overpriced.
