All in all, the house was great and plenty spacious for our family of 6, as well as some guests for part of the stay. The outdoor grill didn’t work, and the hot tub wasnt very clean when we got there. The biggest complaint, however, is that the ‘direct lake access’ is not as advertised. While technically true, the dock is entirely on dry ground and the water in the cove is only knee deep and rather still—not good for anything, really. Considering that this was the main reason for our booking this house, and likely a large contributor to the nightly rate of the booking, it was sorely disappointing. At best, this host, or at least the company managing their rental, was misleading in this regard and we would not recommend anyone stay here if they are drawn to the ‘direct lake access.’
