great location. the POC wasnt answering the call. The parking for the house was hard to find. Not realizing the owner was next door, she saw us searching for the lockpad. Parking is through joyce street and into their private driveway from there. Home is from 1870 era so lots of creeking and doors to room cannot lock and stays ajar. We had to put a luggage behind our door. weird layout but beds are very comfortable. There are lots of restaurant and coffee shops closeby, walking distance; and a small market a block away. We had a rough first day but overall, it did its purpose.
Great place, great stay. thank you
My family stayed in Warren to visit my daughter, who had just moved here. We like this place for the most part and plan to return.Pros: the location of this rental cannot be beat, just a short walk to numerous restaurants, shops and parks. If you plan to sightsee, it's an easy drive to either Providence or Newport attractions. The house has a well-equipped kitchen. Beds are comfortable. The two living room areas are cozy, and one has lovely old stained glass windows that look out over Main Street. The owner lives next door and is friendly but not intrusive.Cons: the layout of the 2nd floor is odd. One bedroom opens either into another bedroom or into a stairwell that is open to the first floor. The smaller living room/office is across the hall and not really connected to the rest of the spaces. And the stairs to the 2nd floor are very steep and curved. Anyone with mobility issues should choose the 2-bedroom downstairs unit instead.
My son, my mother and I had a lovely 4 night stay in Warren to visit my daughter, who does not have room to host in her tiny apartment there. This rental was a good "home away from home." Pros: Excellent location, within an easy walk of coffee shops, restaurants, stores, parks and the bike path. For those vacationing, it's a reasonable drive to attractions in both Providence and Newport. The house itself is quite comfortable and very clean. The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped. The on-site host was friendly and left us some little treats like chips and coffee pods for the Keurig. Cons: Like most historic houses, this one had some quirks like sloped floors and minor electrical issues. The 2nd floor unit is also a little oddly laid out, and up a set of steep curved stairs. If you have any mobility issues, book 2 bedroom apartment on the bottom floor.
